[News] 스피카 SPICA releases concept photos for “Painkiller”

Having released the teaser video for their next mini-album repackage, “Painkiller“, SPICA is back and ready to hit the stage with their new concept!

It’s just been three weeks since they wrapped up promotions for “Russian Roulette“, but the girls are about to prove that they have more tricks up their sleeves with a dramatic image change following their newest release.

“Painkiller” is a traditional R&B track produced by Ryan Jhun, the composer behind the likes of Lee Hyori, TVXQ, and SHINee.

B2M Entertainment expressed, “We worried a lot over the selection of their follow-up track. There were several opinions during their ‘Russian Roulette’ promotions, as one side wanted a song that showed more of their vocal power, while another side wanted to see some stronger performances. It was hard to pick a song that combined both of them.”

“Painkiller” will be released on March 29th, and the girls will have their first comeback stage on Mnet‘s ‘M! Countdown‘ following its release.

[News] 스피카-김보아 SPICA member Boa’s impressive pre-debut experiences

On a recent episode of MBC’s ‘Three Wheels,’ girl group SPICA member, Kim Boa, impressed the viewers with her pre-debut experience as the guide and chorus for several popular artists’ songs. A guide refers to the vocals that the artists hear of the song before they record it themselves.

The other guests on the show were surprised to find that Boa was 26 years old. She explained that she hasn’t been in other idol groups in the past, but she has worked with famous artists such as Lee Hyori,T-ara, 4minute, and Girls’ Generation. She proved this by showing off her strong vocals while performing a song that she recently worked as a guide for, T-ara’s “Lovey Dovey.”

You guys should try to check out the latest episode of “Three Wheels” to see Boa’s talents and SPICA’s performance of their latest single, “Russian Roulette.”

[News] 스피카 SPICA Reveals MV Teaser for "Painkiller"

Rookie girl group and Lee Hyori's protege SPICA just unveiled the MV teaser for their new single "Painkiller."

"Painkiller" is a mid tempo electro pop song enhanced by BoA, Bohyung, Jiwon, Narae and Joohyun's soulful vocals.

The video opens on a dark backstreet, where the members' every movements are caught on film. We get a glimpse of the choreography and the atmosphere of the music video through this teaser.
